A very hard to find vintage character or Toby mug or pitcher of Mephistopheles or the Devil made by Coventry in the United States and is numbered 5558A on the bottom. Mephistopheles is the master of Dark magic: He possesses supernatural abilities, including the power to control elements, warp reality, and use mind control. Really nice details in the face, horns showing, intense eyes, brows and smile. He measures 5” tall and is about 6” at the widest points.(tip of his nose to end of the handle. Very nice features, excellent paint retention, no chips, no repairs. There is crazing see photos for condition. I rinsed it out but it still needs cleaning. From my father's china cabinet. One sold recently in September on eBay for $199.00
