This delightful pair of ceramic planter vases captures the whimsical charm of the mid-20th century. Dating from the 1940s or 1950s, these pieces feature colorful pixie or elf figures dressed in vibrant green and blue, each resting beside a unique floral-shaped vase.
One vase, appearing as a large green bloom or perhaps a stylized calla lily, stands approx. 4.75 inches tall, with a sitting elf figure beside a dark, textured base. The second piece is a lovely pink tulip-shaped vase, standing about 4 inches tall, with a second elf figure appearing to hold onto its rim.
The underside of the pink vase is marked "Made in Japan" (visible in the photo), typical of imported ceramic novelty items from this era.
